Secondary Technology Integration Specialist
- Provides technology training and leadership
by working with students and teachers to effectively integrate the use of technology into instruction that meets Washington State standards
- By working collaboratively with classroom teachers to facilitate the integration of technology across the curriculum, both in the computer lab and in the classroom
1. Implements state EALRs (essential academic learning requirements), grade level expectations, and district standards.
2. Demonstrates knowledge of subject matter and competency in instructional practices.
3. Works collaboratively with classroom teachers to facilitate the integration technology across the curriculum, both in a computer lab setting and in the classroom.
4. Models creative and innovative uses of technology in the classroom.
5. Uses appropriate strategies to manage resources and the learning environment in the computer lab.
6. Models effective use of the internet for students and teachers.
7. Assists in the design and implementation of professional development in technology integration for school staff.
8. Evaluates and reflects upon professional practices, emerging technologies, and current research to support student learning.
9. Applies and models legal and ethical use of technology skills.
10. Assists in teaching staff and students the proper operation, care, and maintenance of computer equipment. 11.Provides limited technology support to teachers and perform minor maintenance and/or make arrangements for necessary repairs of technology resources.
